Eligibility
A full refund is available if you cancel a confirmed sitting in writing at least fourteen clear days before the first session, and if we have not already spent a non-recoverable room or travel cost that you asked us to book on your behalf. Consumer rights under United Kingdom law are not limited where they apply; this page explains the house practice for programme fees.
Timeframe for asking
Write to info@platform-packetcore.digital as soon as you know. Requests made after a sitting has begun are assessed as partial refunds, not as full ones, except where the house cancels the remaining weeks.
Full or partial refund
Before the fourteen-day mark: full fee, minus any non-recoverable third-party cost you authorised. After the first sitting of The Packet Ledger: we retain one ninth of the fee per week already held (or commenced), and return the remainder, provided you have not received written critiques covering later weeks in advance. The Reading Seat is a single afternoon: once the four hours have begun, the fee is not returned. House Correspondence: unused months after written cancellation are returned pro rata; months already written are kept.
Non-refundable items
Travel, lodging, and meals are yours. Printed packs already posted at your request. A seat given up with fewer than fourteen days’ notice when we cannot fill it — we still try; if we fill it, we return the fee minus a £60 desk charge. Custom extracts you asked us to prepare and then abandoned.
Process
Send the confirmation reference, the name on the invoice, and whether you want the original payment route used. The desk acknowledges within two working days. We may ask you to confirm identity. We do not process refunds through this website.
Processing time and method
Once agreed, we instruct the return within ten working days. Money goes back by the same method that paid the invoice (bank transfer or card, as recorded). Currency conversion differences on international cards are outside our control.
Cancellation by the house
If illness or a closed room means we cancel a sitting, you may take a later date or a full refund of unused weeks. We are not responsible for your train tickets.
Exceptions
Removal for conduct under the terms is not refunded beyond unused whole weeks we choose to return as a gesture, which is not an admission. If you miss sittings, that is not a house cancellation.
